Simon and Vya - Palev and Sergei

Hello characters I should have introduce a long time ago! Although maybe it's better that I didn't, because these two have gone through an evolution that you would not BELIEVE! In fact, Palev wasn't even there at the beginning, it was just Sergei who was like a crazy mountain man who'd been kicked out of the military and married a bear (it made sense when I thought of it) But his personality wasn't clicking for me, so I gave him a brother, someone to bounce off of, and then it suddenly got totally out of my control. Palev became this insane little monk guy, and Sergei's personality went completely the other way and he became this really quiet mom-like guy. Also Sergei's costume changed a little (as you can see in the little comic on the right) to reflect more traditional Siberian clothing. This is also where Vya's cat Anya came from, I'll get to that later. They were supposed to just be the plain villains, but then they accidentally grew personalities and a backstory and now I love them and it's all I can do to keep the story focus on Simon and Vya instead of them XDD (which is partly why it's taking so long, it's freakishly hard to balance all the stuff that's happening in the story). But I finally got their designs and personalities down now, and they're ready for you to see, haha I really enjoy them, and I hope you do too

So Palev and Sergei are brothers who were born in a tiny isolated Siberian village way far up north. They had no parents and were sort of passed around from home to home. No one wanted to keep them for long because Palev had a reputation for being not right in the head because he heard people talking who weren't there. The voices were so real to him that he couldn't tell the difference between someone really speaking to him and what he was hearing in his head. The voices never spoke directly to him, it was like a radio in his brain that he couldn't turn off playing every station at once. Even from a very young age Sergei thought was all in Palev's head, but he was always quick to defend his brother when people give him looks. When he was ten Palev heard a new voice, speaking directly to him, for the first time in his life. She said she could help him if he would find and help her back in return. So Palev ran away. He ran off into the mountain looking for the source of the voice, with Sergei right behind him to keep him safe. They've been up there for 20 years and found nothing but a cat. But Palev is too stubborn to give up, and would rather live in the wilderness by himself than among people who think he's crazy.
