IT AIN'T WISE TO NEED SOMEONE AS MUCH AS I DEPENDED ON.........YOUUUUUUU

(I love that damn song) Sorry this is two days late, but better late than never I guess, haha. Plus homework is kinda starting to crash down on me, after I finish posting this, I have to dash off to the computer lab again. And yes that's my kitchen table and chairs (I moved stuff so you wouldn't see the skull or the bananas that were going bad) and yes, I actually made that cake myself, isn't it hideous? XD And baba romovaya is supposed to be made in a bunt cake kind of pan, but I don't have one, and couldn't find a disposable one, so I had to make it with my little blue chicken dish. And yes, I really did get a little tipsy eating it, cuz that whole pink part at the bottom is raspberry liquor and pomegranate juice (I didn't have rum) XD Also some credit goes to my roommate, cuz she helped me eat Simon's share XD

Thank you guys so much for liking Simon and Vya enough to give me motivation to draw them for a year  It feels like they've both come so far since I first came up with them, and I hope that they have farther still to go.

EDIT: For anyone who wants to make that cake, here is the recipe www.ruscuisine.com/recipes/des… Now I'm not sure if it was because of my pan, or whether I didn't measure everything right, but mine developed a really hard "crust" on top that I had to break off. If yours does that, it's not very hard to break it and take off the pieces, and then you have a nice soft surface for soaking up all that lovely alcohol and juice (or just plain juice if you don't want your dessert to give you a buzz) The cake itself is really delicious, I highly recommend it. I also highly recommend that website. It's got lots of good Russian recipes, and also gives a bit of history/culture with almost every recipe. One of my favorites is the pelmeni, but be warned, that is a LOT of work. So if you're not like me, and didn't grow up with a mother who cooked like she was preparing for the whole town to come to raid our fridge, and therefore are not used to spending hours bent over raw dough and ground meat, then you might want to start with something else.
