Mermaid Vya

A lot of you may or may not know this, but I fucking love mermaids. Or any kind of human-aquatic creature hybrid I don't know what it is about them, they always make me smile. So I spent this Christmas break drawing Vya as a mer-seal (still not sure what the proper terminology is for him. And no one say selkie unless you want to hear a very long, indignant lecture about selkie lore.)

Also, seal-Vya is not so intelligent or shy as the real Vya. He's just a big happy seal And I love when Simon gets selfish and tunnel visioned about something XD He just sees seal Vya as a discovery and not as a creature with feelings. Hopefully that would change.
